Almost two years ago, on a cold day after a wet hike, homesick and fighting mild hypothermia, I picked up the birria ramen here and I have been dreaming of it since. I'm still trying and failing to replicate it. I live too many thousands of miles away for takeaway and it may no longer be in the menu, but wanted you guys to know that it is still the best soup I've eaten.

Great atmosphere if you love really loud rap music. The food is amazing. Our server Molly recommended the spicy garlic noodles. I said I didn’t want too much spice so she had the kitchen leave off the jalapeños! Perfect!! Add the fried chicken you won’t regret it!

Just soooo good!! I highly recommend the pork ribs and the garlic noodles. They were so flavorful and I couldn’t get enough. The ribs are sweet and tangy and garlicky and sticky and crunchy all at once. So so good!! I couldn’t believe that the seafood place next door was more busy than this place. It was delicious.

if you’ve been here before but haven’t been a while you should know the location has changed. it’s down the street through an alley way from the original location. it’s a bit confusing bc the original location still has a giant sign with the name of the restaurant. that aside, the new location has a nice ambiance, friendly staff, and the same chubby noodle menu we ordered the cucumber salad, firecracker chicken, and mongolian beef which came with a side of rice. the chicken isn’t as spicy as the name would make you think. everything else was fine. no complaints

It was crazy smoky when we entered and either clear up or my throat got used to it! Seated on time for our reservation - everyone we interacted with (host, servers) were wonderful. Food came out super quick - we had poke, green beans and firecracker chicken. The poke was spicy! We both loved the green beans - perfection. Liked the firecracker chicken flavor but it wasn’t as spicy as the poke. We’d definitely go back!

Got the beef noodles and house special garlic noodles. Both came in large quantities, so would recommend sharing! Overall a decently priced meal, but not the best noodles I’ve ever had (I’m a picky noodle fan—I prefer hand-pulled noodles). Beef noodle sauce was a little sweet and chicken garlic noodles was more savory, so it was a good complement. They also serve many types of alcohol that I didn’t try, but seemed good. They take reservations, which is a huge plus! But will only seat you once your entire party arrives.

Everything we had here was delicious - the BBQ pork egg fried rice redefined my idea of what good egg fried rice should taste like, and the pork buns and the spicy garlic noodles with fried chicken were both outstanding

Chubby Noodle in North Beach is a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists! It was my go-to place when I lived in the city, and it remains a top destination whenever I'm back visiting. The entire menu is a hit--you simply can't go wrong with any choice. Their music playlist is always on point, adding to the vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. Don't miss out on their Korean Pork Tacos, Szechuan Green Beans, and Spicy Garlic Noodles--these dishes are the true MVPs of the menu. Highly recommend this place for a fantastic dining experience!

Ambience is perfect for a date. Love the service, felt attended; and service was very friendly and considerate of my friend's fish allergy. I went with the garlic noodles, along with the potstickers. Every bite you take from the noodles, it's a garlic, tasty, savory madness. Has a slight kick to it, but not too much where you're left with a burning mouth. Wish it were a bit more spicy, but each their own of course! Potstickers were ok, didn't understand why they were priced as much as the noodles though. Considering they're appetizers. Overall a nice place to try if you're near Little Italy. Beware though, my friend and I were a little lost finding this place. We had first thought the location was next to Sotto Mare, but we had to walk a few min to 510 Union St. The location is not by SOTTO MARE, it is on Union St.

Came here on a Saturday with a group of 5 for brunch. We did not have a reservation and had to wait until 2 PM before getting a table. This place does a bottomless brunch. They have unlimited mimosas and also sangria and sapporo as alternative drink options. You can pay more for sake as an option. There is already champagne and orange juice on the table when you sit down. Food-wise, they have 8 dishes that they bring out to you family-style. You can ask for more dishes. You cannot take anything to-go if you don't finish. You can only do the bottomless brunch, which is $55 per person. They do not have an option to order a la carte. In terms of food, the szechuan green beans were hands down the best dish. So flavorful and delicious. Not spicy. The cucumbers and spicy wontons were also good (the wontons are spicy if you eat the toppings with it). The garlic noodles were a bit salty but good. The shrimp with the aioli was also good. Eggs with sausage were a bit plain; it was mainly the sausage that was providing flavor. The cauliflower was my least favorite. There is a 90 minute time limit. Ambiance-wise, they play the music pretty loudly so it may be hard to hear each other. It seems like a fun place for a birthday brunch. Service was alright. They checked on us a couple times but I wouldn't say that they were super attentive. Overall, I think this is a fun place for bottomless brunch but price-wise, it is steep. The food is better than most other bottomless mimosas places (those green beans were chef's kiss!!).
